I regret to say I lied
But who should have to be the one
To choose dull schoolwork over fun

Needless to say a mark was never made
Upon any paper except for this that I rhyme
Instead beneath the sun was where I laid
Even after I’d seen that sunset so sublime
Some missing points are worth having a good time

And so I sit before
A tedious college application
Upon completing it there will be more
What I write is merely an implication –
Procrastinating from your work
Can be an inspiration!

Introduction

My name is Rachel and I am sixteen years old. I am a senior at Northview High School. I’m currently in the process of applying to college and it is kind of a stressful time. I’d like to get out of Ohio just for a change in scenery since I was born in Sylvania and have lived here all my life. I plan to study pharmacy and move to the south after college, particularly South Carolina because I love the people there and the climate. Pharmacy is a really intriguing occupation because it provides you with the opportunity to go anywhere in the country you want and be guaranteed a legitimate, high paying job.
I enjoy hanging out with my friends, rollerblading, playing with my dog Goldie, and going for walks when it is warm outside. My favorite season in summer because there’s a lot of free time, no school or homework, and the weather is gorgeous. I really dislike the winter because the cold really limits what can be done outside. On Saturdays, I love watching college football. I tend to watch a lot of games, but my favorite team is the Michigan Wolverines, who are not having a very good season this year. Other than football my favorite shows are One Tree Hill, The Cleaner, Intervention, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
I work kind of a lot at a restaurant called San Francisco Oven. I like it most of the time but sometimes (especially on weekends) it gets frustrating because I work so much. My favorite part of my job besides making money is the people there. They’re really funny and I enjoy working with them.
Overall, I’m a pretty happy person. I like doing a wide variety of activities, and I’m pretty much up for anything.
